FAQ
At Surrogate Mother Solutions, our process starts with you browsing through carefully selected profiles of available surrogate candidates who meet your specific requests. These profiles are designed to help you identify a surrogate whose family, background, and lifestyle best align with your preferences and unique requirements. Once you find a surrogate candidate that you are interested in, we will send an agency contract to you to be signed. We then coordinate a match meeting between you and the surrogate, and her family. This can be done in person but is generally either done via phone, or virtually. This meeting is crucial—it allows everyone involved to get to know each other, discuss expectations, and confirm a good match. Please complete an Intended Parent application so that we can learn more about your specific needs. Once received someone will reach out to Schedule a free, in-depth consult, usually within one-two days.
The term “intended parent” refers to the individual or couple or person who plans to become the legal parent of a child born through the assistance of a gestational surrogate. This term includes a wide range of individuals and couples, from LGBQ to committed singles.
The “intended parent” meaning carries significant implications in a legal context. It defines those who will assume the legal rights and responsibilities for the child born via surrogacy. Understanding and establishing this legal parentage is crucial and involves detailed legal processes to ensure that the intended parents’ rights are fully recognized and protected from the start.

Yes, if the insurance is surrogate friendly. If the insurance provider does not have a clause that says it cannot be used then the surrogate will be able to use it. There are many specifics associated with each individual or group plan. Therefore, Surrogate Mother Solutions will refer to specialists in the insurance field to review each policy as part of the pre-screening and will determine if the plan will cover any costs. You should plan that you will need to purchase medical insurance for the surrogate. The only plan with zero risk is the Lloyd’s of London private surrogate policy. Another option is to purchase medical insurance during open enrollment for the surrogate which is from November to December. Open enrollment varies from state to state. You may also attempt to purchase insurance in the open market throughout the year. If you are matching during this time, you will be able to save money with affordable medical insurance by purchasing an individual plan for the surrogate if she does not have surrogate friendly insurance.
It's important to note, that even if an insurance is surrogate friendly we cannot guarantee coverage or that the provider will cover every claim. Although uncommon it can happen.
